Bio:

Paula Meyer is an Emergency Department physician who previously worked in network and local news for NBC, CNN, and USA Today.  She received an Emmy award for local news coverage in Washington, DC before attending medical school at the University of Southern California.  She has worked in community, academic, and Indian Health Service hospital Emergency Departments and is particularly interested in medical informatics, rural medicine, and issues related to cross cultural medical care.  In a previous life she was a volunteer firefighter, EMT, candystriper, and homeless shelter hostess.  She is currently an Assistant Professor  at the University of Colorado’s Division of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Rubio is the proud breeder of above average high altitude chickens and pet llamas.
